In 2005 Roki Repulsa and his bride, Widow, return to the Palace on the Moon with new dark powers. Many things happened the previous year. The Power Rangers and the Repulsa sisters joined forces to defeat Riti and Rio Revile and repower the connections to the Morphing Grid. But they always knew Roki and Widow would return. They began making preparations as fast as they could. However, as diligent as they were, they were still ill-prepared for the show of force the self-proclaimed King and Queen of Evil unleashed upon them.

The Moon isn't the only threat facing Earth at this time. A mysterious, interdimensional mad scientist appears in orbit and launches an attack on the Earth. Leading this attack, much to the shock of everyone, is Astronema. Flanked by two powerful forces, the Power Rangers must cope. The return of Rex brings the Mythic Coins which enable the Mythic Rangers to join the fight against evil.

But all may not be as it seems. Yes, more powerful than ever, even that seems to not be enough for Widow and Roki. They're hatching a plan, but what will be in store for the Rangers when they unleash it. And why did Dr. Lee come to Earth to attack Angel Grove.
